Peetie's New Journey as a Tri Paw

I started licking my back leg just yesterday and somehow created an open raw wound. Not sure why, but it really hurts and I am now limping on my back leg as well as only having 1 front. My sister and parents are very concerned and are hoping someone in tripawdland has any idea what it could be or how to treat it. My Dad did cover it with gauze and put the cone on me so I wouldnt make it worse. Mom is calling the doctor tomorrow, so hopefully it can be treated with some meds.

Hi everyone, I wanted to Thank you all for the overwhelming support. I am feeling a little better today. The last week has been very rough. I cried all day, my sister would hug and kiss me for hours on end and that made me feel a little better. I am looking forward to having my staples removed next week. Hopefully I will be back to my old self sooner than later.

Peetie is my 10 year old black lab/ pit mix baby boy. We rescued him at 2 weeks old and he has been part of my family ever since. Peetie was suffering from bone cancer and a large tumor on his left front shoulder. On Tuesday Feb 16, we were faced with having to make a fatal decision, amputation or putting our best friend to sleep. We decided to have the surgery. Peetie is still recovering and we hope that this decision was the right one, first and foremost for him. Any support or helpful hints would be greatly appreciated.
