I started licking my back leg just yesterday and somehow created an open raw wound. Not sure why, but it really hurts and I am now limping on my back leg as well as only having 1 front. My sister and parents are very concerned and are hoping someone in tripawdland has any idea what it could be or how to treat it. My Dad did cover it with gauze and put the cone on me so I wouldnt make it worse. Mom is calling the doctor tomorrow, so hopefully it can be treated with some meds.

Owie Peetie. Are you maybe licking where they put your IV in? I did that for a little until my pawrents caught me doing it and put a stop to it. My V-E-T gave my mom some silver stuff to put on it to help it heal, which it did eventually, but it is soooooo hard not to lick it..I’m sorry about you having to wear the cone of shame. I hate that thing. Let us know what your doc said,,K? Opie

My Dad just rebandaged me and said it looks alittle better but I have to keep the cone on until it heals. Told my mon about the seasalt, so I think she will try that next. Thanks again…

My Dad said it looks alittle better today, so he rebandaged it and told me I have to leave this silly cone on until it heals. Doc didnt say much, wants to see it first, so If I dont get better by tomorrow I will have to go in for a visit. I will keep you updated…
